Kuchipudi Dance Recital by Smt. Sarvepalli Madhavimala
Sarvepalli Madhavimala presented a scintillating Kuchipudi dance recital at Sunshine Hospitals' Auditorium.
Madhavimala presented a Pushpanajali, followed by a Vinayaka Stuti. Gale Bhujanga composed by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan came up next. Madhavi's Sanchari abhinaya in Vande Srimataram on Goddess Parvathi and her various incarnations was quite impressive. Emoko chigurutadharamuna, an Annamacharya kirthana was the penultimate item, followed by a poignant Jayadeva Ashtapadi.
The proceeds from the sale of paintings were earmarked for funding the activities of AnandaPriya Foundation.
In his speech, Dr. Gurava Reddy said, "I am elated that this stage is being put to such fine use. Seeing Madhavimala perform today has raised my hopes for the future of fine arts in India.
I invite other dancers and musicians to make use of this auditorium for free. I congratulate AnandaPriya for this wonderful thought and effort."
